Information Support
We publish and disseminate information on a wide range of topics on livelihoods issues with concentration on agriculture production techniques, environment and market information. In addition, we actively support exchange of information among CDWs through documented experiences in books, videos, CD-ROMs and our flagship journal, the Baobab, which is published 3 times a year since 1988.
ALIN has also taken advantage of the revolution in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to enhance rapid information exchange and content creation among communities through innovative projects such as; Knowledge Infrastructure with and between Counterparts (KIC) with Oxfam Novib, Open Knowledge Network (www. openknowledge.net) with DfID, Online Information Service for Non- chemical Pest Management in the Tropics (www.oisat.org) with Pan Germany and WorldSpace digital satellite receivers (www.worldspace. com) with the Ford Foundation.
