ALIN | Connecting Communities with knowledge
Baobab Journal

The journal, published three times a year, is primarily a forum for ALIN Network members to exchange development ideas and experiences on ALIN’s five key thematic areas of focus i.e agricultural production techniques, environment management, market information, gender, health and HIV and AIDS. ALIN had by 2009 published 55 issues of the Baobab over a period of 18 years for its members, most of whom are change agents based at the grassroot level. Baobab CDs are also available and focus on topical areas such as agricultural techniques, participatory rural appraisal, cereal banks, community development projects, savings and credit, forestry, pastoralism, gender, water development, health, appropriate technologies and food security.
